About Us
World Tankers Management Pte Ltd (WTM) was established in Singapore in 1993 by the Haji-Ioannou family, prominent and highly reputable Greek ship owners, having interests in ship owning, airlines and property.
Starting as in-house ship managers, exclusively managing assets controlled by Haji-Ioannou, WTM now also offers a range of third party management services to discerning Ship Owners wishing to place their assets under our management and care. The size of the company is deliberately kept limited, so the personal touch in whatever we do is maintained. WTM currently manage a range of 'Aframax' and ‘MR’ product and chemical tankers.
At World Tankers Management, the full range of Technical, Marine Operations, Crewing and Commercial Management is handled in Singapore, in conjunction with our offices in Mumbai for Crewing, and London for Chartering and Insurance. The Singapore Head Office employs a team of qualified and experienced staff who are encouraged to continuously upgrade their skills and performance, through company sponsored studies and training, throughout their careers.
WTM was the first Singapore company to obtain ISO 14001 accreditation from Lloyds Register and the first to introduce a class approved Water Ballast Management System. We are a member of the Singapore Shipping Association. We are a full and active member of Intertanko. We are a Marine Partner of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology.
